About Bazen’s Nursing Home Litigation Firm
Founded by Christopher Damen Bazen, Bazen’s Nursing Home Litigation Firm, P.C. is a Sacramento-based law firm exclusively dedicated to nursing home resident rights advocacy.
With over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse and more than a decade of legal practice, Mr. Bazen brings a rare combination of medical knowledge and legal expertise to his clients. His journey began in healthcare—earning his Associate of Science in Nursing from Cuyahoga Community College—and later expanded to law, earning a Juris Doctor from West Coast Law School and an LL.M. from Northeastern University School of Law.
After decades caring for patients in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and skilled nursing facilities, Mr. Bazen witnessed how systemic issues in corporate-run facilities often result in neglect and suffering. This experience inspired him to dedicate his legal practice solely to nursing home litigation, where his medical insight allows him to uncover what others might overlook.
His mission is simple but profound: to provide strong, compassionate legal representation for nursing home residents and their families.
He treats every client like family—guiding them with respect, clarity, and empathy through a complex and emotional legal process.
This firm proudly serves clients throughout California and focuses exclusively on nursing home cases.

Our Services
Nursing Home Abuse
We represent victims of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse—whether by staff, other residents, or third parties—holding facilities accountable for failing to protect those in their care.
Nursing Home Neglect
Neglect can be just as harmful as abuse. From poor hygiene to failure to monitor health, we fight for families whose loved ones have been harmed due to inattention and substandard care.
Bedsores / Pressure Ulcers
These painful and potentially deadly wounds are preventable with proper care. If your loved one developed bedsores, we will investigate and seek justice for this clear sign of neglect.
Falls & Fractures
Falls in nursing homes are often the result of staff negligence, poor supervision, or inadequate safety measures. We strive for full accountability in cases of fall-related injuries and deaths.
Medication Errors
Wrong dosages, missed medications, or dangerous drug interactions can have life-threatening consequences. We bring a trained nurse’s eye to these cases, uncovering what others might miss.
Malnutrition & Dehydration
When basic nutritional needs are neglected, residents suffer in silence. We pursue claims involving weight loss, dehydration, and general medical decline due to lack of care.
Harmful or Unnecessary Treatments
Improper use of restraints, overmedication, or unnecessary procedures violates residents’ rights and dignity. We take action against dangerous or unethical treatment practices.
Physical, Sexual & Economic Abuse
We handle complex cases involving bodily harm, sexual misconduct, and financial exploitation—ensuring those responsible are brought to justice.
